Star Pool Astrology offers a variety of astrological information for the novice, intermediate and advanced student. The subject matter presented is to offer different insights as well as enhance the knowledge of the student. The information provides examples, quick facts, and techniques for chart interpretations. To make it more interesting for the reader, charts and pictures have been added as an aid to understanding the information. Sometimes the picture will represent criteria that is applicable to the subject, such as the pictures of the houses. Each house selected will have items that are associated with what that house represents. So pictures are not only there to have a more pleasing site, but also to be studied to pick out the items that would be applicable to the subject. This is just another learning tool as pictures sometimes say more to an individual then the words themselves.

Astrology has been around for at least 4,000 years and is based on the observations of the planets and constellation (zodiac) by the ancients. As they observed the planets movements through the constellations they noted different characteristics, events and attributes that occurred or were present. Through their documentation of these things astrology was born. Astrology is an extensive subject and may be easy for some and harder for others. Knowing the signs, planets and houses is only the tip of the iceberg. Being able to interpret a chart is like painting a colorful picture. There are broad strokes and small strokes. There are definite colors and blending of colors which transform the picture into a unique perspective. Planets are colored by the sign and house they reside in and the aspects they make to other planets. Signs are colored by the house they reside in. Houses are colored by the planets and/or sign(s) in it. The whole chart is influenced by all these placements. Add to that the fact that each house, planet and sign can represent hundreds of characteristics, items, places, and persons. The art comes in on how to determine which is the most revelant for the chart. But you cannot be the only one to determine it. The person the chart is for is one that will provide the confirmation or insight into their life that will provide you the clues.

In addition to the astrological information within these pages, you will find other subjects that may be related in an off handed way. There is a genealogy section for those searching for ancestors. Making charts of ancestors can be very revealing for the family tree.
